Interaction analysis for proteins, peptides and small molecules in solution
The ConSense is capable of detecting and quantitating interactions largely indepent of molecule sizes, if one binding partner carries a fluorescence label. This provides freedom in the way the specific assay is set up and circumvents issues with surface immobilization. An interaction study  is done within 15 minutes.

Protein aggregation
The control of protein aggregation is a major challenge in the production and the formulation of recombinant proteins. The ConSense analyzer is able to detect aggregates in seconds, due to their high fluorenscence and their slow diffusion. It also delivers information on the size distribution of aggregates and can be used for accelerated protein stability studies. Two different labeling strategies are generally available: unspecific labeling with nile red or specific staining with fluorescent binders to the aggregateing monomers.
